https://ptetutorials.com/in/pte-coaching/

Are you in search of effective writing tips for your PTE Academic Writing Test? Be it any form of writing, it is always demanding, challenging, and a bothering issue for all the aspirants. Starting from penning down the essential points till manoeuvring your ideas, writing entails brainstorming to create a unique piece.

👉 The PTE Academic writing module comprises of two sections.

✔ Summarize Written Text: This section includes a passage which the test takers need to summarize in a single sentence of 75 words in the given time of 10 minutes.

✔ Essay Writing: In this section, the test takers need to write down an essay of about 200-300 words on the provided topic in the given time of 20 minutes.

Most of the students or aspirants appearing for the PTE Academic have troubles mainly with the Writing Section, especially, with essay writing.

👉 Here is a key point that would help you improve your PTE Academic Writing score.

The first rule of PTE Academic Writing section is to stick to the mentioned word limit strictly. Writing either less or more words than the specified word limit would result in a poor score. Having informed this, below mentioned are some helpful strategies to achieve a better score.

👉 Write relevant content

It is significant for a test taker to understand the given topic. You need to identify if the provided topic is asking a specific answer to the given question or is it asking to pen down your thoughts either in its favor or against it.

For example, “Actions speak louder than words. Do you agree or not?” For an answer to such questions, you first need to be clear about what your opinion is. Is it in favor of the topic or against it?
After finalising your answer, you must channelize your thoughts in the essay. Be careful that you don’t start writing points or arguments that are not relevant to your content (i.e. Off-Topic points). Your content must be intact and purely related to the topic.

👉 Keep it Simple

Though you have prepared well for your writing section, brushed up your vocabulary, or even gained a great command of the language, it is always advisable to write simple sentences rather than opting for long and convoluted statements. More complex the sentences, more the chances are of getting errors.

Trying to mention every idea in one sentence or elaborating an idea in one sentence will likely invite more grammar and spelling mistakes. So, it is beneficial to be precise and clear with your content. The PTE test assessors will focus on the logic and content rather than the complexity of the sentences.

👉 Manage to complete your essay within allotted time

Create a plan or note down some key points before you start writing an essay.

Most of the aspirants think it is a waste of time and they start writing as soon as they read the topic. As they reach halfway, another thought flashes all of a sudden in their mind, and they start writing afresh. This would result in leaving the essay incomplete which in turn would affect the score.

Instead, it is recommended to write the keywords so that your focus remains only on the keywords while writing the essay.

👉 Write in the “Correct” format

The essay you write in your PTE Academic Writing Test must be structured, organised, and relevant to the topic. When it comes to structuring an essay, there are multiple options to it, and it may vary from one individual to another. Here are some strategies to write in the ‘right’ format.
  • You can start writing the introduction paragraph.
  • Rather than writing lengthy statements, adopt the habit of writing shorthand sentences that define your idea.
  • The format of the essay should be such that the assessor can understand your points and idea.
  • End your essay with a striking conclusion. But, remember that you should not end it with strong opinions or judgements.
👉 Start Practicing Beforehand
  • Build your vocabulary by reading newspapers, articles, novels, and whatever you get to read.
  • Learn the usage of punctuations and apply them at proper places in your essay.
  • Avoid grammar errors and spelling mistakes.
  • Proofread the essay in the end to avoid errors.
  • Practice typing beforehand so that your typing speed improves.

Aussizz Group
IELTS Test

IELTS examination officials at times withhold or postpone the IELTS test results for a long period. There is often little that you can do to ensure that you get your IELTS test result on time. However, we understand that it can be frustrating in case your results face delay since it messes up the time for you to fill the college application before the end of application date.

👉 Here are some steps that you can take when your IELTS test result face delay.

1. Contact Examination Centre

There is a possibility that a lot of people appeared for the IELTS exam from the same examination centre as you did. In such a scenario, it is common for the examination centre to take a slightly more time to collect the test papers and send it for evaluation. You can contact the examination centre officials for more information on the expected date for results.

2. Contact your IELTS Coaching Centre

It is likely that your IELTS Class teachers are in touch with the IELTS officials on a regular basis. In some cases, it is possible that your institution can contact the necessary officials for more information. If all fails, the education counsellors will do a good job at pacifying you while you wait for the results.

3. Keep Admission Form Ready

Make sure that you keep your admission forms filled and ready for mail when your results face delay. You will find that the application for most colleges is quite lengthy and it takes a considerable amount of time to fill all the necessary details. Make sure that you fill all details except the delayed IELTS score before the results are declared.

4. Contact the University/College for Extension

Most of the universities understand that IELTS results face delay due to one or more reasons. You can contact the customer helpline of the university directly, asking them for an extension on the application date due to a delay in the results. In such cases, the university will ask you to mail the rest of the application for review before your IELTS results are declared.

5. Wait

The last but not the least important thing that you can do when your results face a delay is waiting for them to come out. It is evident from the history of the examination that the tests often go through a rigorous testing process and the results face delays more than often. There is a good chance that all of your friends who gave the exam with you are waiting on their results too.

In certain cases, you will also get an official SMS from the IELTS department stating the revised date of result declaration in case of a delay. On the off-chance that you do not get any SMS, you can just wait and follow the steps given above to be better prepared.

Why Not to Apply for Australian Immigration Without Hiring a Consultant?

Aussizz Group
Australian Immigration

✅ Is it all right if you apply for an Australian immigration by yourself?
✅ If the question is from a legal point of view, then why not! Sure, you can.
✅ But surely you knew that one-sentence answer already.

You probably want to know whether it would be ‘advisable’ for you to do so without hiring an appropriate Australian Immigration Agent. The answer to that question is no. While there’s nothing wrong on paper about it, we still wouldn’t advise you to deal with the visa acquisition process by yourself. And here are the reasons why:
  • To begin with, you will need to know all the laws and regulations, and any recent changes that they might have gone through.
  • Next, you’ll have to know which type and subclass of visa to apply under. This is a crucial step. Your visa type would decide a lot of things for you. Let’s say you plan on studying, and eventually settling there. You’ll need a study program which accommodates your career needs as well as features on the Australian PR course list. Similarly, if you go there on a work visa, you will first have to make a comprehensible skill assessment of yourself. If your skills do not match the skill requirement in Australia, then you’ll have to look for another way.
  • It’s really easy to make mistakes on a visa application - more so for the first-timers. And mistakes aren’t taken well by the immigration authorities. A migration agent’s guidance is thus important as it comes backed with years of experience in handling tons of visa applications. That kind of expert advice is what makes the visa process a little less daunting.
  • If by any chance your visa gets cancelled, you won’t be able to re-apply immediately. You would have to wait a long time before you get to apply again.
  • Talking about visa rejection, refusal, or cancellation - with a consultant, the chances of such an event get reduced drastically in the first place. But in case it does ever happen, the agent would know exactly how to re-apply. Whether to apply under the same or a different visa category, or a different subclass; or tell you if adding any additional information would help you this time around - your migration agent will tell you exactly what to do, and how.
In conclusion, skilled immigration agents aren’t a necessity for getting an Australian visa; but they make the task so much more seamless and trouble-free. And talking about a hassle-free immigration process, Aussizz Group does it the best in the country. With an army of registered migration agents and excellent education consultants to guide you, you can rest assured of turning your Australian dream into a reality!

3 Dumb Mistakes to Avoid in the Writing Module of PTE

Aussizz Group
PTE Exam

When it comes to PTE Academic exam (Pearson Test of English), where the Speaking, Listening, as well as Reading modules seem to be a cinch for people, the writing module has always received an aversion. And such reaction doesn’t come as too big surprise since this section calls for the presence of several skills at the same time - such as brainstorming different ideas, elaborating those ideas in a precise manner, and knowing spelling, grammar, plurals, and so on.
But howsoever difficult it may seem, it holds great importance. So let’s have a look at some of the silliest mistakes that students make in the PTE writing module here.

➤ Write Essay: It requires you to write an argumentative essay of 200-300 words within 20 minutes in response to a prompt. Your written essay is basically judged on your ability of organising and presenting ideas along with the other details to support your argument.

The mistake people make in this section, doesn’t come while writing the exam - but way before it. It’s the lack of practice that can prove fatal in this exam. You cannot use up your time thinking too much. You have to practise a lot of different essays to get it done right as well as on time, in the exam.

➤ Summarize Written Text: This portion requires you to write a summary of a passage given to you within 10 minutes. It must be written in one sentence and should have no more than 75 words. Your summary will be judged on the basis of your quality and how precisely you present the vital points of the passage.
The mistake that students make here, is similar to the one they make in an essay. Not enough practice can again have you put this section in jeopardy. More than the essay, it’s this section that requires you to think really fast, and that can only be acquired through practising a lot.

➤ Spellings, Grammar, and Punctuation: A sentence loses its meaning if it doesn’t include the proper punctuation marks. You have to be very careful with your commas, semicolons, colons, hyphens, full-stops, and such. The confusion over where to insert your punctuations is an extremely common problem, and you would need to get rid of it before your exam.

The other common mistakes are those related to grammar. The do-does, has-have, a-an-the, and all such dilemmas are seen so frequently in PTE exam answers, that students should prepare for this whole module, starting with these concepts only. last, but not the least, please avoid making spelling mistakes.
Know and understand words carefully while you prepare for this exam, and make sure you practise enough to not spell the words wrong in there.

Let’s face it; it’s not easy being a non-native speaker to write concise and impressive essay unless one has followed an aggressive practise schedule, and PTE writing module is no exception to this rule.

And no one understands the significance of such practice, more than PTE Tutorials. So, join us today, and with our brilliant practice tests at a reasonable PTE course fees, pave a sure path to a great PTE score for yourself!

Planning to Study in Australia? Here’s How you can manage your Study Costs

Aussizz Group
Study in Australia

A few years back, HSBC came out with a survey which pointed towards Australia being one of the most expensive countries to study overseas. And though the exact numbers must have changed through the years, yet Australia holds the position amongst the most costly study destinations even today. But still this country also remains with one of the highest concentrations of International students in the world!

But as we said, Study and Living Costs are really high here. So, let’s dig a little deeper into that. Australian universities have a unique way of calculating their tuition fee. Instead of going the usual way, that is calculating it per year, they have it done per unit. And every unit is a part of a fee band. Because most students study a combination of units from different bands, the fee happens to be different for everyone. The average tuition fee for Bachelor’s degree, this way, comes to range between 15,000 and 33,000 AUD/year, and that of Master’s and PhD degree, between 14,000 – 37,000 AUD per year. This makes the average tuition fee in an Australian University, as 33,400 AUD. But you will still have some of the top universities regulating and publishing their fee estimates on a regular basis, for every program.

Then you have the Student Services and Amenities fee which is charged by not all, but most universities. This is a cost that covers the amenities and services which are of a non-academic nature. When it comes to living there, Sydney comes as the most expensive city where costs can go as up as 2500 AUD/month. The average cost of living in the country then ranges between 1800 and 2500 AUD a month. Then there are food and transportation costs to consider too, in addition to books and other reading supplies that you’d have to spend on.

The costs are a bit high; but finding a way to manage these costs is important. There are a lot of scholarships that you will come across that can help you do just that. There are Endeavour Postgraduate Awards, Australia Awards, APEC Women in Research Fellowship Program, amongst many which offer financial aid to International students in Australia.

Also, Australian Student Visas allow International students to work up to 40 hours per fortnight, per semester, and unrestricted hours during semester breaks. There are many industries in Australia looking for part-time workers including retail, hospitality, tourism, agriculture, finance, manufacturing, etc.

If you’re still wondering how to manage study costs in Australia, there’s a way to get all your confusions done away with. You can get in touch with Aussizz Group!
